The group of three miniature dress medals initialled to Commander H. C. Onslow, Royal Navy

Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol, edge inscribed ‘H.C.O.’; Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian die, unnamed; Baltic 1854-55, unnamed, mounted as worn in this order from a triple silver riband buckle, good very fine (3) £140-180

Harington Campbell Onslow was Commissioned Midshipman, Royal Navy, on 18 October 1852, and served in H.M.S. Bellerophon in the Black Sea at the attack on the sea defences of Sebastopol, 17 October 1854; he subsequently served on shore at Eupatoria with a brigade of seamen, and then served in H.M.S. Retribution in the Baltic Expedition of 1855. Promoted Sub Lieutenant, 21 September 1857, and Lieutenant, 28 June 1861, he subsequently served on the North America and West Indies Station, before transferring to the retired list with the rank of Commander, 1 October 1873.
