Waterloo 1815 (Corp. Robert Morris, 2nd Batt. 95th Reg. Foot.) fitted with replacement steel clip and ring suspension, some minor marks, otherwise good very fine £2000-2600

Robert Morris was born in the Parish of St John, Chester, and enlisted into the 1st Battalion, 95th Foot, on 4 June 1802, aged 23, having served in the Chester Fencibles since 29 May 1799. He transferred to the 2nd Battalion in September 1805 and served with it in the expedition to Copenhagen in 1807. He was promoted to Corporal in February 1815 and served in Captain Eaton’s Company of the 2/95th at Waterloo. Promoted to Sergeant in August 1817, he was discharged at Hastings on 25 November 1818, in consequence of the reduction of the Regiment and long service. Sold with copied discharge papers and full muster details.
