Henry James Todd was born on 9 June 1912 and served during the Second World War with No. 4 Ordnance Store Company, Royal Army Ordnance Corps. Taken Prisoner of War on 17 February 1942, following the fall of Singapore, he was sent to work on the Burma-Siam Railway at Chungkai village, Kanchanaburi, Thailand, where he died of amoebic dysentery and polyavitaminosis on 5 October 1943, and is buried in Chungkai War Cemetery, Thailand
