24th (2nd Warwickshire) Regiment Officer’s Battalion Companies Shako Plate 1844 - 1855, of crowned eight pointed star pattern with battle honour overlays to the seven large star rays, in the centre on a domed gilt ground silver numerals ‘24’, within a strap ‘2nd Warwickshire’ this enclosed with laurel sprays and two further battle honours at the bottom, above the strap in silver the Sphinx/Egypt, complete with two loop fasteners, the crown neatly reaffixed and strengthened to the star section with slight gilt loss otherwise very fine condition £800-1200

This lot was sold as part of a special collection, The Collection of Militaria to Welsh Regiments formed by the Late Llewellyn Lord.
