Montgomeryshire Yeomanry Cavalry Officer’s Helmet Plate c. 1850, a very fine and rare example, the multi-rayed plated back plate with gilt overlays comprising a tri-part scroll ‘Montgomeryshire Yeomanry Cavalry’ a circular strap ‘Anorchfy Gol’ this enclosing a Welsh Dragon, eight ray finials damaged and the two helmet fasteners missing although their solder bases remain otherwise very good condition £500-800
