Theunissen, bust left, regarding the Lycée at Caen, 70 x 52mm (BDM –); Quatercentenary of the Birth of Jacques Grevin, 1938, an oval bronze medal by Anie Mouroux, bust three-quarters right, de clermont en beauvaisis below, rev. arms, 32 x 29mm; Saint-Joseph, Le Havre, 1957, a uniface bronze medal by M. Delannoy for Arthus-Bertrand, frontal elevation of church, incuse impression of a seated St Joseph behind, 50mm [3]. Very fine and better, all rare (£40-60)
Abbé Follioley (1836-1902), masterminded the regeneration of the Lycée Clemenceau, Nantes, 1890-8.
Jacques Grevin (1538-70), playwright and author, studied medicine at the University of Paris, but was forced to leave France in 1560 because of religious persecution
