France, Agriculture, or Travaux des Champs, 1904, bronze plaques by M.-A.-L. Coudray (2, one gilt), peasant driving bullocks pulling a plough, being urged on by a boy, setting sun in background, rev. farmworker with scythe in a field of wheat, named (Offert par M. Louis Quesnel, Député, 1931…1933), both 100 x 62mm (PBE 280; CGMP p.103; BM Acq. 1983-7, p.18, 33; cf. DNW 50, 1218); together with other medals and plaques, in silver (1), plated bronze (4), by Blin, Bottée, Baudichon, H. Dubois etc [7]. Generally very fine (£50-60)
