The 105 Irish tokens in the following lots represent the largest group of such material to be offered at auction for several decades and the opportunity has been taken to illustrate almost all of them all for the record. For ease of reference tokens have been divided by location, then listed in the order of the catalogue by Fr Gerard Rice (2013) and the earlier extensive research by the late Mr Todd [1977+], rather than alphabetically by tavern, where known
