Ex Murray Collection 1891 (sold Sotheby, May 1926); Glendining’s, March 1927 and January 1932. Only three medals issued with this combination of clasps, all to the 23rd Foot. Discharged 24 November 1812, in consequence of ‘gun shot wound of leg at Albuhera on the 16 May 1811’. Sold with copied discharge papers.
The medal is named (W. Cooke, Serjeant, 23rd Foot).
