Brian John Quentin was born in Bedford on 4 October 1935. He entered the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 13 March 1951 and was advanced to Boy 1st Class in March 1952. Promoted to Ordinary Seaman in April 1953, he was rated as a Radio Electrical Mechanic 2nd Class in August 1954; R.E.M. 1st Class in March 1955; Leading R.E.M. in August 1957 and Petty Officer Radio Electrician in April 1960; attaining the rank of Chief Radio Electrician in August 1965. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. Medal in April 1969. Pensioned 3 October 1975.
