Patrick Cunningham was an Ulsterman, a native of Newry, Co. Down, Northern Ireland. Served in the suppression of the Indian Mutiny as Quartermaster in the 4th Company Artillery, Hyderabad Contingent. He died at Aurangabad, India in November 1863.
