Thomas Frank Sparrow was born in Birmingham, England on 11 January 1887. A Farmer by occupation, he enlisted into the 43rd Battalion Canadian Infantry at Winnipeg on 29 December 1914. Posted to England in June 1915 and thence to France in November 1915 where he served with the 16th Battalion (Canadian Scottish). Invalided to Canada in December 1918, having suffered from epilepsy. Discharged at Winnipeg, 17 March 1919. With copied service and medical papers.
