John Henry Bishop was born in West Ham, Essex on 10 September 1880. He enlisted into the Royal Marines at London on 22 June 1899. He was discharged and enrolled into the R.F.R. in August 1905 and was mobilised in August 1914. Demobilised on 11 February 1919 but re-enrolled for another 5 years in the R.F.R. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in September 1922. With copied service paper.
