A Great War M.M. group of four awarded to Private C. R. Sims, Middlesex Regiment, who died of wounds on 11 August 1916

Military Medal, G.V.R. (14965 Pte., 13/Middx. R.); 1914-15 Star (L-14965 Pte., Middx. R.); British War and Victory Medals (L-14965 Pte., Midd’x. R.); together with memorial plaque (Charles Richard Sims) this drilled in two places; Middlesex Regiment cap badge, all contained in an old mahogany glazed display frame, good very fine (5) £350-400

Charles Richard Sims was born at St Pancras, Middlesex and enlisted in London. He died of wounds in France and Flanders on 11 August 1916 whilst serving with the 13th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment. He is buried at Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L’Abbe, Somme, France.

The Victory Medal is possibly officially re-impressed
