Three: Gunner George Wynds, Royal Artillery

Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (Gr. & Dr., 2nd Bn. R. Arty.), officially impressed naming; Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., small letter reverse (1038 Gunr., Coast Bgde. R.A.); Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue, unnamed, the second with (slack) re-riveted suspension post and claw, all with contact marks and edge bruising, generally good fine or better (3) £160-180

George Wynds was born in South Petherton, Somerset and enlisted in the Royal Artillery in July 1845, aged 20 years. His only active service was with the 2nd Battalion, R.A. in the Sebastopol operations in the Crimea and he was finally discharged at Woolwich in August 1866, aged 41 years.
