Commander Kenneth Ernest Maun was born in Shropshire on 2.7.1927 and entered the Royal Navy as a Midshipman in May 1945. He attained the rank of Lieutenant in 1949 and as such he served aboard the aircraft carrier H.M.S. Theseus during the Korean War. Promoted Lieutenant Commander in 1957 and Commander in 1963, he died of cancer whilst still in the service on 22.10.1974. Sold with some service details and a copy of the death certificate.
