E.R.A. 4, R.N.); British War and Victory Medals (M.6707 E.R.A. 3, R.N.); together with memorial plaque (Arthur Frederick Charles Martin); illuminated memorial scroll, this mounted on board and cropped at edges; Buckingham Palace letter; and original photograph of recipient in uniform, good very fine (3) £100-130

Arthur Frederick Charles Martin was killed in action on the night of 22/23 December 1917 whilst serving aboard the destroyer H.M.S. Tornado, when both this ship and her sister ship H.M.S. Torrent were sunk by enemy submarines whilst on patrol in the North Sea.
