Crimea 1854-56, 3 clasps, Alma, Balaklava, Sebastopol (79th Regt.), officially impressed naming; Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Lucknow (79th Highlanders); Turkish Crimea, British issue, unnamed, pierced with ring suspension, good very fine and better (3) £500-550

John Robertson was born in the Parish of Glasgow. By trade a Saddler, he enlisted into the 79th Highlanders in 1838, aged 19 years. At various times promoted, only to be reduced in rank, he was discharged atLahore, India on 19.11.1859. Sold with copied service papers.
