Crimea 1854-56, 2 clasps, Alma, Inkermann (Saml. Davis, 50th Regt.), officially impressed naming, good very fine £250-300

Samuel Davis was enlisted into the 50th Foot in 1843 and served in the 1st Sikh War, being entitled to the Sutlej Medal for Moodkee with three clasps. In the Crimea War, he was wounded between 13th and 17th October 1854 (London Gazette 11.11.1854); was sent to Scutari on 10.2.1855 and died two days later.
