Hervin Holden was born at Facit, Lancashire and enlisted at Rochdale, Lancashire. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 22 August 1916 whilst serving with the 11th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers. He is buried at Lonsdale Cemetery, Authuiles, France.
