John Fenwick was born and enlisted at Sheffield. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 9 October 1917 whilst serving with the 2/8th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers. His name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
