Three: Sergeant E. J. Rapley, No. 7 Squadron, Royal Air Force
1939-45 Star; Air Crew Europe Star; War Medal, all unnamed as issued in their card box of issue addressed to his widow, together with named condolence slip, two photographs of the recipient in uniform, a small lady’s gold watch inscribed ‘To Trixie with all my love Eric’, a letter to his widow from Air Ministry Director of Accounts, a R.A.F. button and a small sweetheart brooch, extremely fine (6)

Sergeant E. J. Rapley, No. 7 Squadron, Royal Air Force, was killed when his Stirling 1 bomber crashed on the night of 10/11 May, 1941, near Cloppenberg, Germany, whilst on a raid over Berlin. All seven crew members were killed and were buried in Becklingen War Cemetery, Soltau.
