Major Nevill Swire Mann was entitled to the Military Cross London Gazette 2 February 1916, ‘For distinguished service in the field’ (Possibly for Gallipoli). He died of wounds received during the attack on the Sanniyat Position, Iraq, on 12 April 1916. At the time he was attached to the 6th Battalion Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He is buried at Amara War Cemetery. With copies of Battalion War Diaries for this action. (A picture of him appears in the Illustrated London News for 6 May 1916.

Lieutenant Roland Mann served first with the Royal Navy as an Ordinary Seaman, later commissioned into the Coldstream Guards, transferring to the Loyal North Lancasire Regiment, and finishing with the Nigeria Regiment. His first overseas service was at Gallipoli in June 1915.

Captain Horatio Gordon Mann was killed in action in Gallipoli, 10 August 1915, whilst serving with the 6th Battalion, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He is buried at No. 2 Outpost Cemetery, Gallipoli. (Sold with photographs of cemetery and grave).

Second Lieutenant Horace Walpole Mann was killed in action in Gallipoli, 10 August 1915, whilst serving with the 6th Battalion Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli. With Battalion War Diaries for the action at Chunuk Bair on 10 August 1915 in which H. G. and H. W. Mann were killed. In this diary Second Lieutenant H. W. Mann’s name appears under the heading ‘The following names have been brought to notice’.
