THE WELSH CYCLE CLUB, 1710, a silver medal from dies by N.Roettier mismatched and restruck by Matthew Young, laureate bust of James III left, no signature below [from the Death of Princess Louisa medal], reverse sheep grazing in open country, 30mm (Woolf 25:1b/24:1 [Sale, lot 81, only in AE]; M.I. 381/230; cf. Baldwin FPL 1996, 420). Usual rust and scour marks from the dies, otherwise extremely fine and nicely toned, rare (£80-100)
