1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; Defence and War Medals, with original Army Council condolence slip, extremely fine (4) £60-80

Eric Crawford Donachie, who was born in October 1919 and came from Southsea in Hampshire, was taken P.O.W. at the fall of Singapore in February 1942, while serving in 3rd H.A.A. Regiment, R.A. One of the unfortunates to be employed on the Thai-Burma railway, he died on 12 September 1944, aged 25 years. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Singapore Memorial.
