Harry Colombick was born in South Africa in April 1904 and enlisted in the Union Defence Force in June 1940, aged 36 years. Posted to the 2nd Battalion, Transvaal Scottish, he transferred to the South African Air Force in June 1941, joining No. 7 Wing in Egypt in April 1942. Employed in various capacities in that theatre of war until April 1943, he latterly served in 3 and 262 Squadrons. Colombick was discharged in November 1945; sold with copied service record.
