Irish Regt.); 1914-15 Star (M2-046635 Pte., A.S.C.); British War and Victory Medals (M2-046635 Pte., A.S.C.), first two with edge bruises and slight contact marks, very fine; last three extremely fine (5) £100-130

Private John Murray was born in Barony in Lanarkshire and served with the Royal Irish Regiment in the Boer War. In the Great War he served with the 621st M.T. Company, A.S.C. and died whilst on Home Service, 12.2.1916 and was buried in the Glasgow Western Necropolis.
