with named Admiralty condolence slip (Basil Patrick Stevenson, Temporary Midshipman, R.N.R.) and in card box of issue addressed to his mother, extremely fine (3) £400-500

Basil Patrick Stevenson, son of Mrs H. G. Stevenson, Eastbourne, Sussex, was killed in action on 24 May 1941, whilst serving as a Temporary Midshipman aboard H.M.S. Hood when she was sunk by the battleship Bismarck. Sold with two contemporary post card photographs of the Hood.
