Pair: Captain H. A. G. Sprigg, Hampshire Regiment, killed in action in Palestine, 9 April 1918

British War and Victory Medals (Capt.); together with memorial plaque (Henry Aldwin Guildford Sprigg) contained in a contemporary leather covered glazed display frame, extremely fine (3) £180-220

Henry Aldwin Guildford Sprigg was educated at Summerfields, Eton, and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he took honours in history, before being called to the Bar, and eventually becoming a member of Lloyds. He was killed in action in Palestine on 9 April 1918, whilst serving with the 14th Battalion, attached 2/5th Battalion, Hampshire Regiment, and is buried at Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel. He had previously been wounded in whilst serving with his regiment in 1916.
