Queen Victoria’s Visit to Ireland 1900, medallion, struck in silver, 31,mm, obverse with central portrait of Queen Victoria, inscribed around ‘Visit of H.M. Queen Victoria to Ireland 1900’, reverse with celtic design and inscribed within ribbon ‘To commemorate Irish valour’, good very fine and scarce £80-100

This medallion may well have been struck for presentation to those soldiers back from the fighting in South Africa. It is however, not listed in Boer War Tribute Medals, by M.G. Hibbard.
