Education, an early and unusual engraved silver prize medal, obverse angel, holding trumpet and book, standing facing on cloud, “it is better to possess one talent with humility than to be proud with ten” around, reverse the reward of industry” above, “shrewsbury decr 18th 1801” below; in centre “Miss Drinkwater having made a greater proficiency in History Grammar etc. than any of her schoolfellows receives this Medal as a recompence for her Application”, 55mm, pierced at top for suspension. Very fine, but rather discoloured (£150-200)
