Anthony Bond joined the Royal Indian Navy as a Sub Lieutenant on 9 April 1936, and was appointed to H.M.S. HINDUSTAN, an Escort Vessel, on 27 July 1937. He continued to serve in this vessel until promoted to Lieutenant on 9 April 1939. His next appointments were HAIDERI (September 1939) in Command, EXCELLENT (June 1941) Gunnery Course, DILAWAR (January 1943), and INVESTIGATOR (December 1944) in Command. He was promoted to Acting Lieutenant Commander on 1 January 1944, and subsequently served aboard DILAWAR (January 1946) in Command, and was promoted to Lieutenant Commander 9 April 1947. He transferred to the Royal Navy and was loaned to the Royal Pakistan Navy in 1948 and promoted to Acting Commander in Command of HIMALAYA. He resigned from the service in May 1949, his name being placed on the List of Emergency Lieutenant Commanders on 30 May 1949, and died circa 1976.
