A high percentage of the officers who manned these little boats received Decorations including three V.Cs, one C.B., 8 D.S.Os, and 28 D.S.Cs. Many of the deeds that earned these awards were performed on St Georges Day1918 during the attack on Zeebrugge and Ostend and later in the Baltic and North Russia where the Motor Launches and Coastal Motor Boats were instrumental in the attacks on enemy installations and shipping.
