London Gazette 24 March 1919 ‘The following awards have been approved for services in the Northern and Southern Patrol Forces between 1 July and 11 November 1918’: Chief Electrical Artificer Charles Frederick Craven.

H.M.S. GIBRALTAR, a cruiser of 7,700 tons, converted to depot ship in 1914, served with the Northern Patrol (Submarine Hunting Flotillas) in 1918.
