O.B.E. awarded 1952, Manager of Barclays Bank (Dominion, Colonial and Overseas), Cairo.
Donald Paton Malyn is shown in the Army List for 1918 as Military Forwarding Officer (Graded as Staff Captain), Head Quarters for embarkation duties. A rare instance of a recipient of two grades of the Order of the British Empire which, because one is Civil and the other Military, he is properly allowed to wear together. He could, however, only use the higher post-nominal letters.
