Raymond Herbert Price was born on 23 september, 1868, son of Dr A. G. Price, M.B. C.M. Edinburgh 1893. Surgeon-Lieut, 28 January 1897; Captain, 28 January 1900; F.R.C.S. Edinburgh 1907; Major 29 July 1908; Lt-Colonel 29 July 1916; served North West Frontier of India 1897-98, operations on Samana and in Kurram Valley and Tirah 1897-98 (medal with three clasps); operations against Para Chamkanis 1899; Nandi 1905-6 (medal with clasp); Egypt 1915; Macedonia 1915-16; Egyptian Expeditionary Force 1916-17; Persia and Persian Gulf 1918-19.
