Andrew Wilson served with No. 3 Brigade and was engaged in the action at Doomraon, in the disturbed district of Shahabad, 14 August 1858, and again in the same area during October 1858.

Approximately 135 ratings, from all three Brigades and including Bombay Artillerymen, are shown as having been issued with medals from the roll of H.M. Pendant Vessel Calcutta.
