Arthur Bower, a labourer from Sheffield joined the RNVR 5 July 1915. Drafted from 7th reserve Battalion to Anson Battalion 5 Dec 1915 he embarked for the Middle East arriving at Alexandria in late December 1915, leaving Mudros in May 1916 for France. He was wounded on 26 May 1918 and sent to 149 Field Ambulance and invallided.
