Alfred Barrett was born at Hammersmith, London, on 4 July 1864, and enlisted for the Royal Marine Light Infantry at London on 4 June 1883. He served with the Royal Marines Battalion in Egypt from September 1884 until June 1885, and was invalided out in July 1892. Sold with copy service papers and medal roll.
