Waterloo 1815 (W. Edwards, Clerk of Stores, Commissariat Department) fitted with replacement steel clip and ring suspension, hole drilled in rim at 6 o’clock, contact marks, otherwise nearly very fine and scarce £600-800

William Edwards served with the Field Train Department of Ordnance having joined as Conductor of Stores on 1 July 1809. He was appointed Clerk of Stores, equivalent in rank to a Lieutenant, on 1 January 1813, and served overseas at Cadiz 1812-13, and in the Netherlands in 1815 where he was present at the Battle of Waterloo. He retired on half pay on 1 August 1817.
