Waterloo 1815 (John Poynton, 2nd Batt. Grenad. Guards.) fitted with original steel clip and straight bar suspension, contact wear and polished, better than good fine £700-800

John Poynton (Pointing on roll) served in Lieut. Col. Pack’s Light Company, 2nd Battalion, Grenadier Guards. This was one of the Light Companies that bravely defended the chateau of Hougoumont. Sold with copy of death certificate showing that he died in Kennington, Surrey, on 15 June 1866
