BDW 9, lot 395); Antigua, St Johns, Hannay & Coltart, Farthing, 1836; Jamaica, United Fruit Co, triangular brass tally; other miscellaneous world tokens in base metal (21), from France, Germany, Greece, Turkey, USA etc. [24]. Fine and better (£50-70)

The TC countermark was provisionally assigned to Ceylon by Pridmore because he had seen many similar marks on early Ceylanese coppers. An association with the Colombo merchant Tatham & Co, who issued their own tokens after 1861, is a possibility
