Anne (1702-1714), Crown, 1708, plumes, edge SEPTIMO (SC 45; ESC 108; S. 3602). Hair detail a little flat (and corresponding on reverse), otherwise very fine, reverse with uneven area of toning (£180-220)
In Anne’s reign, most of the silver for the coinage of the Mine Adventurers, marked with the plume of feathers, came from Flintshire and Derbyshire, rather than from the Cardiganshire silver mines (BNJ 1993, p.80)
