Manton, Manton, J.O., and Hollis, E., Buckinghamshire Trade Tokens issued in the Seventeenth Century, Buckingham, 1933, foreword + 118pp, 13 engraved plates. Publishers’ green cloth, lettering in gilt on spine; neatly but heavily annotated throughout with extra notes by Preston-Morley, which became the basis for his and Berry’s revised work [see lot 1282]; pages 39-42 loose, otherwise a fine copy, no.54 of 75 overprints authorised for the Buckinghamshire Archaeological Society, very rare and still the only extensively illustrated work for the county (£90-120)
