Italy, Reproduction medals: Milanese School, Stephano Taverna, aged 26, portrait medal, bust left in cap, rev. standing figure of a young man in armour, his hands resting on a cupid and a naked girl, 78mm (cf. Armand II, 56/13); France, Visit of Louis XII and Anne of Britanny to Lyon, 1500, bronze medal, after Leclerc (and greatly reduced), busts right and left with background of lis and ermines, 71mm (cf. BMC 15); Catherine de Medici, uniface bronze medal, c.1570, after Pillon, bust three-quarters left, 72mm (BMC 115) [3]. All 1930s restrikes, extremely fine and virtually as struck, first with ‘antique’ green patination (£60-80)
