Italy, Sardinia, Carlo Emmanuele III, damascened bronze portrait medal by Jacques Antoine Dassier, undated, draped and armoured bust three-quarters right, reverse standing figure of king in Roman military uniform, Victory to right, Minerva seated on a cloud to left, 55mm (BDM II, p.511). With a quite severe knock to the obverse rim, and another on reverse, otherwise about extremely fine, an impressive medal and the damascened reverse particularly effective (£40-50)
