Auction Catalogue
Victoria (1837-1901), Threepence, 1869. A lovely coin, about as struck, with just a whisper of friction, excellent surfaces and nicely toned, subdued olive and red brown on obverse, similar lighter hues on reverse around margins (£40-50)
A sharp striking and for this reason probably a Maundy coin but obverse lacks brilliance and it may be a remarkably good currency striking.
