Royal Humane Society, Large Silver Medal (Successful), (Master Herbert Campbell, 23 June, 1852) good very fine

Master Herbert Campbell, aged 12, rescued his younger brother Sidney, aged 7, when their boat, in which were six others, was capsized by a gust of wind at Seaview, Isle of Wight. He swam with his brother on his back to the shore, a distance of upwards a mile.
