A Great War M.C. and Bar pair awarded to Lieutenant Paul Richards, Machine Gun Corps, late 7th Canadian Infantry
Military Cross, G.V.R., with Second Award Bar, the reverse of the cross inscribed ‘2/Lt., Machine Gun Corps, Bullecourt May 12th-16th 1917’, the reverse of the bar inscribed ‘N.W.St. Quentin, March 21st 1918’; 1914-15 Star (77257 Pte., 7/Can.Inf.) good very fine (2)

Sold with a copy letter from the Canadian High Commission which states: ‘According to records held by the Canadian Ministry of Defence the War and Victory medals awarded to the late Lieut. (T/Major) Paul Richards were sent to his next-of-kin in January, 1920, but were subsequently returned as “Gone away. No forwarding address.” Lieutenant (Acting Major) Paul Richards was killed in action on 3 October, 1918.
