An unusual Great War D.S.O. group of three awarded to Captain D. R. Meldrum, Special List, Topographical Section, and Maps and Survey Section, Royal Engineers

Distinguished Service Order, G.V.R., in silver-gilt and enamels, reverse of lower suspension bar inscribed ’T./Capt. D. R. Meldrum, S.L. attd. R.E., 24.11.1916’, suspension pin replaced, lacking top bar suspension, and with some extensive enamel damage; 1914-15 Star (Capt.); Victory Medal, with M.I.D. oak leaf (Capt.); together with an erased British War Medal, the first good fine, otherwise very fine or better (4) £400-450

Captain Donald Roy Meldrum first served overseas in Gallipoli with the Royal Engineers, attached from the Survey Department of Egypt, subsequently heading a Maps and Printing Section in Salonika. Sold with additional copied research material.
